Alien hand syndrome is one of the most striking pathologies in neuropsychiatry. According to the definition of clinical neurology, one hand of a patient seems to present a purposeful coordinated action or posture according to his own will, while the other hand attempts to disrupt and counter this ongoing activity. This makes the patient feel strange and alienated to his own body. Combined with the latest evidence of brain and cognitive neuroscience, as well as phenomenological methodology, phenomenological psychopathology attempts to start from the concept of sense of ownership and autonomy to try to interpret the subjective experience of alienated hand syndrome and give a fusion of One-person intervention with a third-person perspective.
