上海市就业与社会保障统计体系赴美培训考察团一行20人,由上海市统计局副局长吴振国带队,于1999年11月7日至11月27日在美国的芝加哥大学和北伊利诺伊州大学进行了培训,并对美国的就业与社会保障情况进行了实地考察.培训考察期间,先后访问了美国劳工部统计局、美国人口普查局、美国社会保障部中西部办公室、伊利诺伊州政府就业保障部和伊利诺伊州政府社会服务部等政府部门,也访问了美国国家民意调查中心、北美精算师协会、摩托罗拉公司总部等社会团体和企业.本次培训和考察得到了上海市引进国外智力领导小组办公室和美国二十一世纪学会的大力协助.
