湖湘文化精神具有务实和浪漫相结合的特点,并鲜明地体现在湖湘士人的精神气质中。一方面,湖湘士人具有现实主义取向,在实用理性、经世谋略方面特别出色;另一方面,他们亦具有浪漫主义气质,总表现出一种对超现实理想的浪漫想像与执著追求。他们的人格魅力和历史成就,与他们具有这种理想主义的浪漫情怀与现实主义的务实精神相结合的精神气质有关。
Huxiang cultural spirit with a pragmatic and romantic combination of features and distinctly reflected in the mentality of the people in Hunan. On the one hand, the people of Hunan have a realist orientation, and they are especially good at practical rationale and practical strategies. On the other hand, they also have the romanticism and always show a romantic imagination and persistent pursuit of surrealistic ideal. Their charisma and historical achievements are related to the ethos they combine with their idealistic romanticism and realistic pragmatism.
