A few years ago, many people were talking about the “crisis of historiography,” and now such fears of “crisis” seem to be passed. Some friends told me that history research seems to have done more practical work, and I very much agree with this. The so-called real, is not without theory, not macroeconomic, but to oppose empty. Once at the symposium on “Literature and History” magazine, I mentioned that the style of study in the Ming Dynasty was empty and should be taken as a guide. In the early Qing Dynasty, a few people advocated learning Pu, real learning, it is to correct its disadvantages. Of course, later, some people only study the evidence, less than justice, and went to the other extreme. The reality we pursue must be down-to-earth, seeking truth from facts and integrating theory with practice.
