Prior to the advent of client / server technology, organizations responded to the need for data processing by accessing mainframe systems. Currently, some companies are still using this old-fashioned system, but successfully communicating these disparate technologies to each other remains a considerable challenge. The most common implementation of these mainframe systems today is still reporting and storing data. ReportSafe V3 from AscendSoftware is a distribution and archiving tool designed to collect reports from different system architectures, including AS / 400, OS / 390, Microsolt Windows NT and 2000, UNIX-based systems, and VSE.
