This article describes the neutron therapy unit of the radiotherapy department at the Ebendorf University Hospital in Hamburg. Based on the ideas of radiotherapy therapists at the General Electric Company in the Federal Republic of Germany and Radiodynamics in the United States of America, the device was developed since 1969 for clinical use.
