河海大学工程力学系副教授刘立钰负责的"土工离心模拟技术应用研究力是以土工离心模型试验为基本研究手段,探讨土工结构的工作性态,为工程的规划、设计和施工提供科学依据。土工离心模型试验,应用离心惯性力场和重力场的等效原理,处于高重力加速度状态下的土工模型中将产生与其原型相似的物理现象,据此可预测土工结构的工作性状,它是研究土工理论问题和实际问题最经济最有效的手段。
