中国传统道德的双重价值结构主要表现在整体意识与自私自利意识、善待他人与善恶不分、重视道德理想与空谈道德的“统一”，其根源是中国封建社会特殊的经济政治结构。改变这种历史价值的双重特性以建立统一的道德价值观，是改革开放和发展社会主义市场经济的客观需要，也是当前伦理学和道德与精神文明建设的一项重要任务。
The dual value structure of Chinese traditional morals is mainly manifested in the “unity” of overall consciousness and selfishness, goodwill for others regardless of good and evil, emphasis on moral ideal and rhetorical morals, which is rooted in the special economic and political structure of Chinese feudal society . To change the dual characteristics of this historical value so as to establish a unified moral values is an objective requirement of reform and opening up and the development of a socialist market economy. It is also an important task of the current ethics and morality and spiritual civilization construction.
