我厂冷作班担负变压器外壳的生产,有一工序即校正槽钢、角钢及钢板,由于缺乏校正设备,而用人工抡锤敲打,所以劳动强度大,生产效率低。他们在“鞍钢宪法”的光辉照耀下,提出向技术革新“要人力,要设备,要技术,要产量”的革命口号,决心改变这一生产落后面貌。他们把革命精神和科学态度结合起来,根据我厂的具体情况,充分利用和发挥现有材料和技术的作用,在自力更生的基础上提出试制电磁锤。虽然有较易解决的硅钢片和一些电的技术知识,但对电磁锤来讲却是一种陌生的东西,既无实践经验,又无这方面的理论知识。他们凭着一颗无限忠于毛主席的红心,用马列主义和毛泽东思想引路,试制电磁锤。
