常熟市琴南中心小学创办于1978年。近年来,随着改革开放的不断深入和经济建设的迅猛发展,城市流动人口也逐年增加。该校作为招商地区惟一的一所公办学校,吸纳了大量流动人口家庭的子女(占全校学生总数的79.8%)入学。在常熟市政府、市教育局和商城管委会的大力支持下,2004年9月,该校投入近4000万元易地新建。新校坐落于常熟小商品城之南,占地26755平方米,建筑面积14500平方米,绿化覆盖率42.8%,现有23个教学班、1052名学生、76名教职工。该校坚持“服务商城子女,锻造个性人才”的办学宗旨,坚持“与时俱进、以人为本、和谐发展、追
