北京市建设委员会是北京建筑业的行业行政管理部门,下设16个处室、9个直属事业单位。2002年4月份以来,市建委党组书记、主任刘永富带领新班子成员,按照北京市第九次党代会精神和“高标准规划城市,高质量建设城市,高效能管理城市,高水平经营城市”的要求,认认真真思考问题,扎扎实实做好工作,在调查研究的基础上,围绕难点、热点主要抓了六件大事。第一件事:树立首都意识,高质量建设城市。北京是国际化大都市,国际交往的窗口,建设工程质量代表国家的水平和城市的形象。刘永富多次提出,北京市建设工程质量要从“全国一流”变为“全国第一”的新目标。
