浙江省慈溪市土肥站从1985年以来,进行了稀土微肥在西瓜上的应用研究,已取得成功,不但能显著提高西瓜的产量,而且还大大改善西瓜的品质。施用稀土的西瓜比对照增产16.4～22.8%,可溶性固形物提高0.73～1.05%,每亩净增收入55元以上。1988年全市推广面积已达15000余亩,增加收益100多万元,这项成果最近经省、市有关专家验收已通过鉴定。
Soil and Fertilizer Station of Cixi City, Zhejiang Province Since 1985, the application of rare earth fertilizer in watermelon has been successfully researched. It not only can significantly increase the yield of watermelon, but also greatly improve the quality of watermelon. The yield of watermelon with rare earth increased by 16.4% ~ 22.8% than that of the control, the soluble solid increased by 0.73% ~ 1.05%, and the net income per acre increased by 55 yuan. In 1988 the city has reached 15000 acres of area to promote, increase revenue more than 1000000 yuan, the results of the recent inspection by the relevant provincial and municipal experts have passed the appraisal.
