Altruism emerges as the antagonistic theory of egoism and individualism. However, since egoism is the long-standing ethical value of Western society, it is inevitable that altruism and its spread will be affected. A truly theoretical study of altruism is a new account of contemporary Western scholars outside the realms of religion, ethics and jurisprudence.
