自20世纪美国小说家威廉·福克纳短篇小说《献给爱米丽的一朵玫瑰花》问世以来一直被誉为哥特式小说的典范。本文试从哥特式的死亡主题、时序颠倒的悬疑叙事法以及怪诞扭曲的人物形象等角度,解析小说的哥特式特征,并进一步挖掘作品的创作理念及艺术价值。
Since the advent of the 20th century American novelist William Faulkner short story “A Rose for Emily” has been hailed as a model of Gothic novels. This article attempts to analyze the Gothic features of the novel from the perspectives of the Gothic death theme, the suspense-suspense law with overthrown timing, and the distorted figure of the grotesque, and further explores the creative concept and artistic value of the work.
