丹尼尔·韦伯斯特是19世纪美国著名的政治家、演说家与法学家,他的宪政思想深刻影响了美国历史发展。韦伯斯特的宪政思想既受到其个人成长经历的影响。又受到了历史、社会等方面因素的影响。他主张建立强大的联邦政府,宪法的权威至上,只有最高法院是宪法的最终解释者,各州无权任意阐释宪法,同时他也强调宪政体制下的自由民主的精神。
Daniel Webster is a famous American politician, orator and jurist in the 19th century. His constitutionalism profoundly influenced the historical development of the United States. Webster’s constitutional thought is influenced by his personal growth experience. And by the history, society and other factors. He advocated the establishment of a strong federal government. The supremacy of the Constitution was the supreme.
