We investigate magnetic and thermal behaviours of one-dimensional antiferromagnetic spin-1 Ising chain with single-ion anisotropy at very low temperatures using the classical transfer matrix technique. Magnetic plateaus,phase diagram, specific heat, susceptibility of the spin chain have been evaluated numerically from the free energy.
