当严肃音乐趋于沉寂之时,一个不拿国家一分钱的民间文化团体,在北京举办了“20世纪华人音乐经典系列活动”,从1993年6月起首季演出持续至今天;继去年11月7日至10日在上海举行了4场纪念演出,今年l月28日又赴泰国出访演出。 音乐界一些专家说,近两年严肃音乐的复归和振兴,是以“20世纪华人音乐经典系列活动”为开端和标志的。音乐家吴祖强说:这项活动在社会上获得如此大的强烈的反响,大大超出了组织者——中华民族文化促进会和参与工作的音乐家们的预想。当然活动还是要“闭幕”的,但并非意味着终止,这项活动帮助了音乐事业的前进。我深盼此项活动能成为华人世界前所
