去年十月杪,美国华裔现代舞蹈家蓝蓝来港,告诉我,她母亲聂华苓将获美国爱荷华大学颁授一个贡献大奖。与此同时,陈安琪为她拍摄的纪录片《三生三世》将于爱大首演。我对蓝蓝说,我将赴爱荷华见证聂华苓获颁授荣誉的仪式。多年来因杂务羁身,屈指一算,与爱荷华已暌违十五年了。我是一九八三年参加爱荷华国际写作计划的。那一年参加的内地作家是吴祖光、茹志鹃王安忆母女,台湾是陈映真和七等生。
