关于电视,人们似乎早已“熟视无睹”。每天我们来到电视机前,投入关怀的尽是那些屏幕映出的内容,诸如时事新闻、歌手大奖赛、电视连续剧,等等,而对电视这东西本身则从不留意。“电视不过是一种工具!”人们往往停留在这句直观认识上,浅尝辄止。其实我们对电视这种媒介物远不应如此简单看待。人类创造并使用电视,但正是电视改变了现代生活的一切,成为人类文化背景的一部分,甚至成为人类自身的一部分。我们正在进入一个电视时代。在这种情况下,读读日本传播学家藤竹晓先生的《电视社会学》一书,也许会有益。书作者断言:“如果忽视电视在社会中所起的作用,就无法谈论二十世纪的社会变化”。此言并非夸张。伟大的“工具”乃是人类生命的延伸和主体力量实现的标志,它映射着我们的生命
People seem to have “turned a blind eye” to television. Every day we come to the TV before we put all our attention on screen content, such as current affairs news, the singer’s grand prix, TV series, etc., and never mind the TV itself. “TV is just a tool!” People tend to stay in the intuitive understanding of this sentence. In fact, we should not be too simple to treat this kind of media as television. Human beings create and use television, but it is television that has changed everything about modern life and has become part of the cultural background of mankind and even become part of humanity itself.
