2009年1月9日上午,中共中央、国务院在北京人民大会堂隆重举行2008年度国家科学技术奖励大会。当一位满头银发的老爷爷从胡锦涛总书记手里接过特等奖证书时,全场爆发出了热烈的掌声。这位老爷爷就是被称为中国神经外科事业的创始人的王忠诚爷爷。王爷爷是世界上做脑血管畸形手术数量最多、经验最丰富的神经外科专家,至今他仍是世界上做神经外科手术唯一超过一万例的医生,因此他被人们誉为“万颅之魂”。
On the morning of January 9, 2009, the CPC Central Committee and the State Council held the 2008 National Science and Technology Award Conference in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. When a silver-haired grandfather took a Grand Prize certificate from General Secretary Hu Jintao, the audience broke out a warm applause. The grandfather is the grandfather of Wang Zhongcheng, known as the founder of the Chinese neurosurgery cause. Grandpa Wang is the world’s largest and most experienced neurosurgery surgeon, so far he is still the only surgeon in the world who has more than 10,000 cases of neurosurgery. Therefore, he is praised as “Cranium soul”.
