目前,杜鹃莳养者越来越多,但成功者却较少,特别是在阳台莳养的成功者更是不多,常常是“年年买花年年死,只见买花无有花”。其实,这种抱怨极大地委曲了杜鹃,养不好的原因不在杜鹃本身,而是莳养者没能满足杜鹃的生长条件,仅是同一般花卉一样管理,当然养不好。杜鹃需要湿润、通风、凉爽的环境和透气、透水良好的酸性土、酸性水。具体地讲在水、肥、土、湿、风、温、光七个方面都密切相关。其中湿、风、温、光对于阳台莳养更为重要。因为阳台的高温、燥热是杜鹃最不能适应的。
