劳伦斯的语言特色一般都在人物的心理描写上体现得格外突出,但是本文试图从新的视角去分析和体味劳伦斯作品的语言特色,将语用学中Grice提出的合作原则在对话中的违反与著名小说家劳伦斯的作品《菊馨》结合,运用会话含义中的合作原则理论来分析小说中人物的对话,从而更加深刻地挖掘小说中人物的性格特征以及更好地为小说的主题思想服务。Grice提出的合作原则理论可以分为四个范畴:量的准则,质的准则,关系准则以及方式准则。通过将合作原则下的四个范畴在对话中的违反与小说中人物对话内容结合,我们可以发现,劳伦斯在创作小说人物对话的语言方面也煞费苦心,并且在将深入分析后的人物对话与文中人物的心理描写相结合之后,我们能够更全面地看到人物特征并更清晰地体会作者想表达的主题思想。
Lawrence’s linguistic features are generally reflected in the psychological description of the characters are particularly prominent, but this article tries to analyze and appreciate the language features of Lawrence’s works from a new perspective, the contradiction and famous Novelist Laurence’s “Ju Xin” combined with the theory of cooperation in the meaning of conversation to analyze the dialogues of characters in the novels, so as to excavate more deeply the personality characteristics of the characters in the novel and better serve the theme of the novel. The theory of cooperation proposed by Grice can be divided into four categories: quantity criterion, quality criterion, relationship criterion and mode guideline. By combining the four categories under the principle of cooperation in the dialogues with the dialogues of the characters in the novels, we can find that Lawrence also exerts painstaking efforts in the language of the dialogue between the characters and the characters. After analyzing the dialogue between the characters and the characters After the combination of psychological description, we can more fully see the character characteristics and more clearly understand the author wants to express the theme of thought.
