浙江省科技局、教育局、体委,于一九七七年七月二十八日至三十一日在杭州主持召开了“大型等离子体显示技术及应用”评议会议。出席会议有来自全国各地的有关科研、设计、使用和科技情报部门等二十五个单位五十名代表。国家体委派代表到会指导。会议对浙江省科技局下达给杭州大学、浙江省工业设计院、浙江体育馆、杭州第二电子管厂几个单位结合浙江体育馆记分装置的“大型等离子体显示系统”的研制任务,现已研制成的单元样机,听取了研制组关于研制过程及“大型等离子体显示”的原理、结构、特性和驱动电路等方面的汇报和介绍,审阅了技术资料,到浙江体育馆现场参观了样机,观看了表
