The Vampir infrared panoramic surveillance equipment was jointly developed by SAT and CSEE under the Naval Engineering and Construction Department of the French Ministry of Defense under the French Navy frigate contract. The device was put into production in 1984 and equipped with the navy. SAT is one of the major companies in the French telecommunications industry. The company mainly develops and produces professional communications equipment.
