肥牛树(Cephalomappa sinense),壮语称米硬。属大戟科肥牛木属常绿乔木,通常树高7—10米,最高达35余米,胸径达1米以上,单叶互生,近革质,嫩时略带淡紫红色,长圆形或倒卵形,叶绿呈钝锯齿状,叶肉肥厚,两面光滑,长6～13厘米,宽3～6厘米。穗状花序,腋生,花单性同株,无花瓣。蒴果近球形,径约15毫米,密生小瘤体。种子近球形,径约6毫米。花期3～4月,果期6～7月。
