The impact of laser impact parameters on the fatigue life of 2024-T62 aluminum alloy is described. When the laser pulse width of 50ns. The specimen surface has harmful heat damage, fatigue life no significant difference. When the laser pulse width of 13ns. The specimen surface does not produce enough plastic deformation, fatigue life increase is not significant. When the laser pulse width is 30ns, the surface of the specimen is formed with a micro-concave dense light impact zone. Fatigue life was significantly improved at 95% confidence. The median fatigue life of a laser shock specimen is 4.2 to 8.1 times the impact specimen.
