黄宗羲所撰《明儒学案》是一部独具匠心的史学名著,不仅在编纂体例上实现了重大突破,标志着学案体的成型,而且具有深刻的历史内涵和思想价值,突出地表现为对明代进步学者学术风骨与行为风范的集中肯定和对有明一代学风积弊的深刻反省。书中对忠贞气节的砥砺,对学者以天下为己任的经世情怀的颂扬,对实学风气的倡扬等内容,实为对中国古代优秀文化传统的有力传承。而黄氏在历史编纂方面所表现出的自觉反思与勇于创新的精神,在今天仍值得我们学习和继承。
