本研究探讨了大学生英语词汇量状况、词汇学习策略的选取情况及其相互关系。中国海洋大学大一到大三的340名被试参加了本研究。结果表明:本科生英语词汇量略大,呈现出先增后减的趋势,不同性别和专业的学生的词汇量不同;词汇学习策略方面,学生较多使用认知和社会情感策略,元认知策略使用较少;词汇量大小与词汇学习策略均存在显著正相关。最后,本文对如何提高英语词汇教学提出了建议。
This study explores the status of college students’ English vocabulary, the selection of vocabulary learning strategies and their relationship. 340 students from Ocean University of China participated in this study. The results show that undergraduates’ English vocabulary is slightly larger, showing a trend of first increasing and then decreasing. Vocabularies of students of different genders and professions are different. In vocabulary learning strategies, students use cognitive and social affective strategies more and metacognitive strategies Use less; vocabulary size and vocabulary learning strategies there is a significant positive correlation. Finally, this article puts forward suggestions on how to improve English vocabulary teaching.
