从贵刊93.10期“奥林园地”刊登一道竞争题的解法,笔者根据此题的特点,巧解如下:原题:一个正方形(如图),被分成四个长方形,它们的面积分别是1/10平方米,1/5平方米,2/5平方米,3/10平方米。图中阴影是一个正方形,那么它的面积是____平方米。分析:要求阴影部分的面积,只要知道其边长即可求得面积。根据原题中的条件,原正方形的面积为1/10+3/10+1/5+2/5=1(平方米),那么边长则为1米。
