鹦歌岭是海南省陆地面积最大的自然保护区。其主峰鹦歌岭海拔1812米,是仅次于五指山的海南第二高峰。2007年,27名大学生来到了鹦歌岭,其中有2名博士、4名硕士、21名本科毕业生,他们是由海南省林业局面向全国高校招募来的,目的是要重建鹦歌岭自然保护区工作站。鹦歌岭有了歌声下飞机,坐汽车,走完平路走山路,尽管拐弯抹角的盘山路颠得人五脏六腑都要跳出嗓子眼,可山路两边青翠欲
