在中国山东省中部,有一片世界吉尼斯纪录中“世界上最大的桃园”,那里的10万亩桃园每到春季桃花盛开的季节,桃花漫山遍野、香飘万里。这就是资源丰富的鲁中宝地、闻名中外的肥桃之乡——肥城。 肥城历史悠久,因西周时肥族人散居此地,古称“肥子国”,其特产肥城桃也因此而得名。中国“佛桃”之乡 肥城桃在肥城已有1100多年的栽种历史,以个大、味美而著称,明清两代奉为皇室贡品,因而又有“佛桃”之称。在这个总面积 1277平方公里的城市里,桃的种植面积就达10万亩之多。
