阮啸仙,我党杰出的无产阶级革命家、广东青年运动的先驱、农民运动的领袖、仁化苏维埃政权的创建者、人民审计制度的奠基人、光荣的革命烈士。1898年8月17日,阮啸仙出生于河源县(现东源县)义合乡下屯村。青少年时代,他博览群书,从我国优秀的文化传统中汲取营养,从历代爱国主义者的爱国思想中接受启迪和激励,同时读了西方国家的一些政治、历史书籍,萌发了爱国主义思想和变革社会的愿望。1918年初,阮啸仙考入广东甲种工业学校机械科。
