宜兴湖耐火电瓷厂是个二百多人的县属工厂,设备和技术力量较差,历年来生产炉管、炉芯等耐火产品。经过无产阶级文化大革命的战斗洗礼,广大职工提高了路线斗争觉悟,树雄心、立壮志,从一九七○年起,开始试制了一些品种的电炉,先后制成自动恒温扩散炉,硅可控中温、高温电炉,硅碳棒电炉,中温井式渗炭炉,二硅化钼高温电炉等十六个品种。 在批林批孔运动的推动下,在上级党委的领导下,该厂党支部、革委会充分发动群众,狠批了林彪鼓吹的“上智下愚”、“生而知之”等反革命黑货,群众性的“双革”、“四新”
