英国八位专家组成的委员会指出,英国及发达国家结核病发病率在下降,但英国每年仍有10,000人发病,1,000人死亡;因而认为结核病仍应进一步研究。在发展中国家内,结核病是最主要传染病之一,更应研究适合这些国家的好方法。他们推荐联合王国应支持下列研究工作。 A committee of eight experts from the United Kingdom pointed out that the incidence of tuberculosis in Britain and developed countries is declining. However, 10,000 people are still affected and 1,000 die in Britain each year. Therefore, further studies on tuberculosis should be considered. In developing countries, tuberculosis is one of the major infectious diseases and a good method of adaptation to these countries should be studied. They recommend that the United Kingdom support the following research.
