According to the “Taiwan Pharmaceutical Journal,” the Taiwan National Defense Medical College and the Sanitation Experiment Institute Zhan Yihan and others studied a reverse osmosis method for making water for injection. The device uses reverse osmosis - ion exchange - microporous filtration process. Tap water from Taipei City was used as raw water, and reverse osmosis modules manufactured by Millipore Corporation of the United States were used. After two years of operation, it has been proved that although tap water in Taipei City is greatly affected by the season, the use of this device can still obtain water for injection that meets the regulations. Compared with the traditional distillation method, energy can save 70%.
