新田煤矿为高瓦斯高突出矿井,主采煤层为4#煤层与9#煤层,其中4#煤层平均厚度为2.78m,9#煤层平均厚度为2.51m,两主采煤层之间平均层间距为30m,两煤层之间分别存在5#煤、6#煤、7#煤、8#煤层,其中5#煤层、8#煤层为局部可采煤层。底板瓦斯抽放巷主要作用为上部煤巷区域防突措施提供施工场所,因此,底板瓦斯抽放巷层位选择很重要,既不能距离主采煤层太近,又要保证巷道的支护强度,在下步施工瓦斯抽放钻孔时围岩不会被大范围的破坏。
