On July 8, a satellite image showed that a 041 “yuan” class diesel electric attack submarine (SSK) of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) visited Karachi at the end of May. Satellite images from Airbus Aerospace and Defense show the submarine docked at the commercial port of Karachi on the 28th of May, a few hundred meters north of the Pakistan naval base. According to the “IHS Janes Battleship Yearbook” data, 041 “Yuan ” class submarine is a type of diesel-electric attack submarine, may have adopted the air propulsion system.
