花脸草(Hypoestes sanguinolenta Hook.f),是一种原产非洲马达加斯加岛、新近落户于国内的小型盆栽观叶植物。又名粉点草、红点草等,属爵床科枪刀药属多年生草本植物。株高约15～50厘米,单叶对生,草质,叶卵状披针形,全缘。老枝茎节肿大,新生枝叶均被有白色绵毛,随着枝叶的成熟老化,绵毛会自然脱落。总状花序顶生,亦被白色绵毛,花序长约30厘米,花小,花期7～9月,果成熟期3～4月。
