据有关国际媒体报道,“财富500强”的大公司里,几乎每家都设有“竞争情报”部门,从事商业情报信息的间谍业务。像可口可乐、3M、通用电气和英特尔等公司,全都派重要人物负责调查商业竞争对手正在干些什么,密切监察和关注,甚至偷窥对手的策略和动向。摩托罗拉公司更从美国中央情报局挖来上星级的专业情报和侦探人员,组建起公司的情报部门。就连安永会计师事务所,也组成了25人的竞争情报部。
According to international media reports, nearly every Fortune 500 company has a Competitive Intelligence unit that spy on business intelligence information. Companies like Coca-Cola, 3M, General Electric and Intel all send key figures in charge of investigating what business competitors are doing, closely monitoring and watching, or even vying for rivals’ tactics and trends. Motorola also dug stars from the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency intelligence agents and detectives, the formation of the company’s intelligence services. Even Ernst & Young, also formed a 25-person Department of Competitive Intelligence.
