野夫,真名郑世平,1962年出生于湖北省恩施地区利川县,后来于恩施和武汉上大学,回故乡工作,又远赴海南任职,为朋友两肋插刀坐了武汉的牢,出狱后游荡京城,变身成功书商。十年之后,孤身一人,舍弃一切,“隐居”云南大理,抒写心中郁结,交游各路神仙。自称也算是生于“红色贵族”家庭,只是幼年不幸,母亲被定为右派,父亲被打倒,尝尽人情冷暖。他的人生经历跌宕起伏,堪比任何一部精彩长篇。他的散文集《江上的母亲》,催发无数热泪,获得2010年台北国际书展大奖,他是大陆第一个获得此奖的人。
