吉林下活龙金矿氧化带矿石中,银主要以螺状硫银矿形式富集为具有工业价值的银矿物。螺状硫银矿多呈礁状、蜂窝状、被膜状以及胶状沉淀的隐晶质集合体,充填于方铅矿的裂隙和附生在白铅矿颗粒的表面上,常常构成铅矿的富银矿石。根据电子探针分析结果计算的螺状硫银矿的分子式与理论分子式相近。除了银、硫等主要组分之外,还有微量的金、铅、硒等元素。晶胞参数a=9.52,b=6.93?,c=8.29,β=123°49′。粉晶衍射最强线为2.628(100),2.581(100),2.463(90)和2.38(90)。
