1984年是吴磊伯教授献身地质科学事业五十周年。吴老在北京大学学生时期参加过“一二·九”运动,嗣后,长期从事进步活动。在地质科学研究方面,他长期追随李四光教授,是地质力学这门新兴学科的著名学者之一。吴老参予厘定我国经向构造体系和大义山向构造,并对山字型、棋盘格式等构造体系作过深入地研究,丰富了构造体系的内容, 为地质力学的发展作出了显著贡献。特别是在小型构造研究方面,造诣很深。他是我国岩组学及砾组学研究的开拓者之一。此外,他在矿田构造、地震地质等领域建树良多。四十年代初,他和南延宗先生一道,首先指出中国富有铀矿床,对我国铀矿的发现及其分布规律的研究贡献卓著。吴老热爱科学,勇于探索,治学严谨,学识渊博。他在从事地质科学研究与教学,以及担负本所有关领导工作方面,作了大量卓有成效的工作。他重视科学实践,数十年来坚持野外地质调查,跋山涉水,足迹遍及祖国南北。他对地质力学编图及书刊编辑出版工作, 一向给予热情指导和有力支持。值此吴老献身地质科学五十周年和七十诞辰之际,本刊发表他的“略论中国铀矿分布的若干规律”一文和他的部分著作目录,以及其它论文,以表庆贺。
1984 is the 50th anniversary of Professor Wu Leibo devoted himself to geological science. Especially in the study of small structures, attainments deep. He is one of the pioneers in the study of petrography and gravel in China. In addition, he has made a lot of achievements in such fields as ore field structure, earthquake geology and so on. In the early 1940s, together with Mr. Nan Yon-chung, he first pointed out that the rich uranium deposits in China have made outstanding contributions to the research on the discovery and distribution of uranium deposits in China. Wu Lao loves science, the courage to explore, rigorous scholarship, knowledgeable. He has done a great deal of fruitful work in geosciences research and teaching, as well as taking the lead in all aspects of our work. He attaches importance to scientific practice, for decades adhere to the field geological survey, hell and footprints, footprints all over the motherland. He edited and published geomechanics books and magazines editing and publishing work, has always given warm guidance and strong support. On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Wu Lao’s dedication to geological sciences and the seventieth birthday, this journal publishes his article entitled “Some Laws on the Distribution of Uranium Deposits in China” and his part of his book catalogs, as well as other papers to celebrate .
