五四运动、建国，这两个具有伟大历史意义和深刻含义的历史环节，划分了整个20世纪中国历史的三大时期、三大篇章。五四以前，是20世纪中国的屈辱篇，从五四到建国是20世纪中国的崛起篇；建国以来是20世纪中国的振兴篇。回顾百年历史，科学总结建国以来的历史经验，有四条重要启示：思想路线问题至关重要；不断深化对社会主义的认识问题至关重要；旗帜问题至关重要；坚持党的领导问题至关重要。
May 4th Movement and the founding of the People’s Republic of China. These two historic links of great historical significance and profound meanings divide the three major periods and three major chapters of Chinese history throughout the 20th century. Before the May Fourth Movement, it was a piece of humiliation in China in the 20th century. From the May 4th Movement to the founding of the People’s Republic of China was the rise of China in the 20th century. Since the founding of the People’s Republic, it was the revitalization of China in the 20th century. Recalling the one-hundred-year history and scientifically summarizing the historical experience since the founding of the People’s Republic, there are four important revelations: the issue of ideological line is of utmost importance; the issue of deepening understanding of socialism is of utmost importance; the issue of flag is of utmost importance; and the adherence to the party’s leadership is of the utmost importance .
