据资料显示,2007年中国接待入境旅游人数达5472万人次,旅游外汇收入达419亿美元,中国已成为全球第四大入境旅游接待国;出入境旅游达4015万人次,居亚洲第一位。中国旅游业的发展,有力地促进了中国经济发展和社会繁荣。根据目前全球旅游业发展的态势,城市旅游是各国旅游业发展的重要组成部分,而世界城市化的快速发展也已成为推动旅游业繁荣的重要引擎。清明节后,由中国国家旅游局与河南省人民政府共同举办的“2008中国世界旅游城市市长论坛”在郑州举行。此次会议的主题为“旅游:城市发展的机遇与挑战”。来自海内外的200余位旅游城市市长就当前全球旅游业的热点问题进行深入探讨,并签署发表了世界旅游城市《郑州宣言》。本刊摘录部分市长的发言,以飨读者。
According to statistics, in 2007, China received 54.72 million inbound tourists and foreign exchange receipts amounted to 41.9 billion U.S. dollars. China has become the fourth largest recipient of inbound tourism in the world. The development of China’s tourism industry has effectively promoted China’s economic development and social prosperity. According to the current situation of global tourism development, urban tourism is an important part of tourism development in all countries. The rapid development of urbanization in the world has also become an important engine for promoting tourism prosperity. After the Ching Ming Festival, the 2008 China World Tourism Cities Mayor Forum jointly hosted by China National Tourism Administration and Henan Provincial People’s Government was held in Zhengzhou. The theme of this conference is “Tourism: Opportunities and Challenges in Urban Development.” Mayor from more than 200 tourist cities at home and abroad conducted an in-depth discussion on the hot issues of the current global tourism industry and signed and published the “Zhengzhou Declaration” of the world tourist city. This magazine excerpts some mayors’ speeches to readers.
