语言构成的三大要素为语音、语法、词汇。英国著名语言学家D.A.Willings也曾说过:“没有语法,人们将无法表达很多东西;而没有词汇,人们将无法表达任何东西。”这句话的作用也不言而喻,词汇是听、说、读、写英语的基石,当学生掌握的词汇量越小,他们在听、说、读、写等过程中也会遇到更多的阻碍。这样一来,学生学习英语的兴趣也会大大降低,厌学的情绪则会随之大增,视学英语为畏途,这样的学习效率还会高吗?重视词汇教学,讲究教学策略对提高学习积极性,提高学习效率帮助很大。
