为纪念被世人誉为“徽班领袖,京剧鼻祖”的程长庚先生诞辰180周年,文化部与安徽省人民政府于1991年11月21日至11月25日在安徽省合肥市联合举办了隆重的纪念活动。程长庚先生生于1811年11月22日,18801月29日逝世。系安徽安庆潜山县程家井人。自幼坐科徽班学艺,出科后随父进京入以安微籍人员为主的三庆徽班。并逐步成为主演、掌班及京师三大徽班总管。他创建的表演艺术,对京剧的形成和发展起到了“开创基业”的重大作用。11月21日上午九时,纪念大会在安徽省人大会议厅隆重召开。文化部副部长高占祥,
