Many scholars have realized that contractile components exist in the ovary of mammals and play a role in ovulation. At present, electron microscopy is used to observe mammalian ovaries. It has been clarified that the contractile component of the outer membrane of follicles is smooth muscle cells (O’shea calls this the smooth muscle-like cells -Smooth
