Interpretation and rehearsal are two common strategies in English teaching. Previous researches mainly focus on the validity and impact of one of them, but little attention has been paid to the teaching effectiveness brought by the two. Under the guidance of input-output theory, this paper discusses the examples and enlightenments of the combination of paraphrase and paraphrase in English intensive reading, which aims to promote students’ comprehensive ability and quality of English.
