今年五月十五日有一家地方报紙刊登了《砖西大队讲求經济效果保証增产增收》的新聞,接着,五月三十一日人民日报上轉載了这条新闻。人民日报轉載时,作了比較大的压縮,原来的稿子是一千六百三十二个字,人民日报把它压縮到九百三十六个字,减少了六百九十六个字。这样修改的結果,新聞短了,主題更突出了,文章也就更显得精粹一些了。从这篇修改稿中,我得到一个启发:在反对长風,提倡短新聞这項工作中,編輯把好“关口”的确是很重要的。
On May 15 this year, a local newspaper published the news that “bricks brigade brigade stressed on increasing economic output and boosting production and revenue.” Then, this news was republished on the People’s Daily on May 31. When reprinted, the People’s Daily made a rather large compression. The original draft was 1,632 words. The People’s Daily compressed it to 936 words, a reduction of 696. word. As a result of such changes, the news is short, the subject is more prominent, and the article is even more refined. From this revised version, I get an inspiration: it is indeed important for editors to put a good “pass” in the fight against gale and advocating short news.
