1998～2002年《湘潭大学自然科学学报》共刊登论文645篇,其中审稿人年龄能确定的审稿单共450份。将这450份审稿单按每隔5年一个年龄段分组(共7组)并统计审稿质量的情况。统计结果表明:年龄在45～54岁之间的审稿人的审稿质量最高;年龄在54岁以上的审稿人的审稿质量次之;年龄在40岁以下的审稿人的审稿质量最低;50岁以下具有博士学位和49岁以上长期从事某一方向研究的专家的审稿质量比同年龄段的更高些。由此可知,审稿质量与审稿人的年龄及学习、科研经历有关。
A total of 645 papers were published in Natural Science Journals of Xiangtan University from 1998 to 2002, of which 450 peer reviewers were of the same age. The 450 draft review orders are grouped by age group of 5 years (a total of 7 groups) and the quality of reviewers is counted. The statistical results show that the quality of reviewer who is between 45 and 54 years old is the highest, the quality of reviewer who is over 54 years old is second, and the reviewer who is below 40 years of age The quality of the man who is under 50 years of age who has a Ph.D. and who is 49 years of age or older has long been engaged in research in one direction has a higher quality of manuscript review than that of the same age group. This shows that the quality of reviewer and reviewer’s age and learning, research experience.
